2nd Baron Davies of Llandinam. Son of David Davies, 1st Baron, of Llandinam, and of Mrs. David Davies; husband of Lady (Ruth Eldrydd) Davies, of Llandinam, Montgomeryshire. B.A.

David is born on 16 January 1915. On the 21st of December 1939 he marries Ruth Eldrydd Dugdale with whom he has several children.

Major Davies died in the battle for Reusel.

  • August 1944: Posted to the 21st Army Group and departed for North-West Europe (NWE).

The Fateful End

  • 25 September 1944: Reported missing in action.

  • Confirmation: Later officially updated to “Killed in Action” on the same date.
