Died of wounds in the fieldhospital at Meerveldhoven and initially buried there.

From the service records of John Quinn, the following account can be reconstructed.

John Quinn was born on 25 February 1916 in Cumbernauld, Croy. He enlisted in the British Army on 24 June 1940 and joined the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

John Quinn was not married.

He embarked for service in North West Europe on 18 June 1944.

According to his service records, he was 5 feet 5 inches tall, with fair hair and blue eyes.

John Quinn died of wounds on 29 September 1944.
