Winston was born on 6 januari 1915, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales. He served with “C Company” 7th Bn. Royal Welch Fusiliers. He was wounded on the 12th of October 1944, suffering shrapnel wounds to his abdomen and leg. He died of these wounds on the 23rd of October at the field hospital at Meerveldhoven, the Netherlands. He was buried there before being transfered to the Valkenswaard War Cemetery.

From the service records of Winston Mons Blower, the following account can be reconstructed.
Winston Mons Blower was born on 6 January 1915 in Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham, Denbighshire. In civilian life he worked as a builder’s labourer. He enlisted in the British Army on 30 May 1940 and joined the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
He married Suzanne Manelson on 8 June 1935. The couple had one child.
Winston Mons Blower embarked for service in North West Europe on 24 June 1944.
The service records note that he was wounded on 25 September 1944 and again on 13 October 1944.
According to his service records, he was 5 feet 7 inches tall, with dark brown hair and blue eyes.
Winston Mons Blower died of wounds on 23 October 1944.
