From the available service records, the following outline of Kenneth David’s military service can be established.

Kenneth David was born on 16 September 1925 in Taibach, Port Talbot, Glamorgan. Before entering military service he worked as a bandler. He was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

He enlisted in the British Army on 17 February 1944 and was initially posted to the General Service Corps. On 17 March 1944 he was transferred to the Welch Regiment.

Kenneth David landed in North West Europe on 23 August 1944. Less than a month later, he was killed in action on 22 September 1944.
