From the service records of Willie John Price, the following account can be reconstructed.
Willie John Price was born on 26 December 1915. Before his military service, he was a student. He was described as being 5 feet 5¼ inches tall, with blue eyes and fair hair.
He enlisted in the British Army on 24 July 1940, joining the South Wales Borderers. On 26 April 1941, he was transferred to the Royal Air Force. Later, on 17 January 1942, he returned to Army service and was posted to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.
Willie John Price was killed in action on 4 October 1944.
