Frank Taylor was born on 7 September 1924 in Pemberton, Lancashire. He was described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, with brown hair and grey-blue eyes. He was unmarried.

He enlisted in the British Army on 23 November 1942, joining the Reconnaissance Corps. Frank was deployed to North-West Europe on 9 June 1944 as part of the Allied campaign following the Normandy landings.

Frank Taylor was killed in action on 24 October 1944
