Dennis was born in 1918, Leicester, U.K. He married Dorothy Olive Thompson in 1943. His older brother, John H. Brierly is killed in action, May 5th 1944. He is commemorated in Burma.
Dennis Arthur Brierly Was killed when his vehicle hit a mine in the village of Gastel (near Budel). Another crewmember (Waterhouse) is also buried at the Valkenswaard War Cemetery.

Dennis Arthur Brierly was born on 26 June 1918 in Leicester, Leicestershire. He was described as being 5 feet 7⅛ inches tall, with brown eyes and brown hair.
He enlisted in the British Army on 18 October 1939, joining the Leicestershire Regiment. On 12 June 1943, Dennis married Dorothy Olivia Thompson in Epsom, Surrey.
Dennis Arthur Brierly was killed in action on 8 November 1944.
