Son of Colin Hugh and Myra Hannah Godson, of Holyport, Berkshire.
Wilfred Philip Godson got killed around Wilreit near Luyksgestel, Holland.
His father company serjeant major Colin Hugh Godson was killed during the battle of the Somme durin WWI and is commemorated at the Thiepval memorial. His older brother Colin Henry Godson died as a prisoner of war and is commemorated at the Lubuan memorial.
Godson was initially buried at Steensel.
