He gave his life for freedom

Additional Information:
Son of William and Adile Komrower, of Hale, Cheshire.

Born on 30-12-1919.
The Major was shot during a recon in the village of Borkel.

After he was wounded he and his driver were taken prisoner and held in the village. Later that day they were exchanged for a German POW. Donald Kowrower died of his wounds.

When the father of Alexander died, his ashes were placed   in Alexanders grave.
