Son of Fredrick Alfred and Ellen Beatrice Mason, of Maidstone, Kent.
Born August 28th 1925. He was initially buried at Meerveldhoven.
‘He was the only son of Frederick Alfred Mason and Ellen Beatrice Mason. He had one younger Sister Yvonne who he loved to tease, one day he tied her to the lamp post outside there house. She was ten years younger than him. At the time of his enlistment he was working at the Maidstone Gas Works. (Maidstone Kent England).
He volunteered for the army one lunch time.’

Harry Alfred Mason was born on 24 August 1925 in All Saints, Maidstone, Kent. In civilian life he worked as a labourer.
He enlisted in the British Army on 24 March 1943 and joined the General Service Corps. On 17 June 1943 he was transferred to The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), and later, on 31 March 1944, to The Queen’s Royal Regiment.
Harry Alfred Mason embarked for service in North West Europe on 4 June 1944.
According to his service records, he was 5 feet 7⅞ inches tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Harry Alfred Mason died of wounds on 16 October 1944.
