Additional Information:
Son of Robert Richard and Alice Turpin, of Epping, Essex.

Born October 29th 1912, Epping, Essex. Initially buried at Meerveldhoven near the fieldhospital where he died of wounds.

“I have got some details of my Great Uncle: he worked for a building company W&C French in Essex, he was a great lover of motorcycles, his mother was very angry when he volunteered to fight in the War. She went away from her home and wouldn’t come back until he had actually left home to join up. So, she never saw him again, which is obviously very sad.”
