From the service records of Ellis Myrwdyn Williams, the following account can be reconstructed.
Ellis Myrwdyn Williams was born on 25 July 1917.
In civilian life he worked as a surface labourer. He was described as being 5 feet 7⅞ inches tall, with grey eyes and dark brown hair. He was unmarried.
He enlisted in the British Army on 17 January 1940, joining the Brecknock Regiment. On 10 July 1944, he was transferred to the East Lancashire Regiment.
Ellis Myrwdyn Williams was killed in action on 23 September 1944.
